Resumen:
Photoelectron emission from Al(111) surfaces produced by the grazing incidence of ultra-short laser pulses is studied in both collisional and multiphotonic regimes. To describe this process we introduce an approach that considers the contribution of the induced potential and, therefore, allows us to investigate electron emission spectra for laser pulses with frequencies even lower than the plasmon frequency. The results so obtained are contrasted with the numerical solution to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE), finding a very good agreement through the whole energetic range.
