Resumen:
We study the photoionizationof small molecules, using a Sturmian approach based on Generalized Sturmian Functions. GSFs are characterized to have, by construction, a fixed asymptotic behavior, adequately chosen to match the problem under study. This characteristic makes the basis set efficient from a computational point of view as shown with atomic applications. The extension of the approach to study ionization of molecular targets is here illustrated with some PI results.
