We briefly describe the lines of work developed over more than twenty years and their relevantresults. Our scope is essentially that of active events that occur in the solar atmosphere covering wide temporal and spatial scales and energy range. We present results derived from the comparative analysis of active events and their interplanetary counterparts, as well as of aspects related to the quiet solar atmosphere, such as the heating of the corona and the origin of the slow solar wind.
