Resumen:
The Pierre Auger Collaboration has recently completed the construction of the Southern Observatory as originally designed, in Malargüe, Argentina. Recently released results are based on data accumulated from January 2004 to August 2007, equivalent to more than one year of full array operation and to an exposure of 7000 km^2 yr sr, i.e. four times AGASA or two times HiRes. The existence of a cut in the energy spectrum, the lack of primary photons and neutrinos, and the correlation of ultra-high-energy cosmic-rays with distribution of matter in the nearby universe indicate that the origin of these cosmic rays is astrophysic. To completelly rule out the cosmological origin, however, more statisctics is needed. Meanwhile, results released by the Auger Observatory seem to indicate the begining of particle astronomy.
