In all the EAGLE simulations we have analysed, the fullhydrodynamic version contains a lower abundance ofvoids, compared to the dark-matter only version.When baryons are included in the simulations, voidsseem to contain more matter than they would haveotherwise. This could be due to gas expelled fromdenser regions via stellar/AGN feedback, or theabsence of cooling mechanisms. This causes thevoids to shrink and reduce in number.
