Resumen:
Tomographic three-dimensional (3D) local differential emission measure (LDEM) analysis of the solar corona, as well as standard (2D) DEM analysis, are performed using the coronal bands on the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) telescope, on board Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The increased number of coronal bands when compared to the previous EUV space telescopes, allows the implementation of a multimodal parametrization for the DEM. Our study reveals the multi-modal nature of the DEM distribution of the coronal plasma. With the aim of cross-validating our parametric LDEM inversion technique, we apply it to perform DEM analysis on sets of AIA images, and compare our results with those obtained by other methods. We discuss the implications of our findings to the investigation of the solar corona heating problem.
