Resumen:
The energy of the cosmic rays observed by the surface detector only is calculated by means of a calibration curve which is obtained performing a dedicated analysis based on hybrid events. Therefore, the calibration depends on the composition of the cosmic rays. This effect can introduce biases in composition analyses when parameters with a strong dependence on primary energy, like the number of muons at a given distance from the core Nmu and Sb , are considered. In this work we study the effects of the dependence on composition of the calibration curve on the determination of the mean value of Nmu at 600 m from the shower axis in the energy range relevant to AMIGA.
