Resumen:
The Pierre Auger Observatory was designed to study the most energetic cosmic rays ($E >10^18 eV). The tansition of the cosmic ray origin from galactic to extragalactic is likely to occur in the energy range below that threshold, from 10^17$ to 5 x 10^18 eV. The importance of this transition has motivated several enhancement of the Auger Observatory, among them the AMIGA and HEAT projects. Our work aims to implement a full simulation of the future Observatory configuration in order to evaluate the present design. These results will be contrasted with real data acquired with prototypes of those enhancements which would be operational in 2008.
