Resumen:
Metal-organic coordination networks formed by 3d transition metals and strong acceptor molecules,like TCNE and TCNQ, are known to form strong lateral bonds that can be the key determining theirelectronic and magnetic properties, particularly when the networks are grown on rather inert surfaces,like Au(111). However, the coupling between the magnetic moments of the metal atoms happens to bestrongly element specific and can be FM or AFM according to XMCD data. Here, we present DFTresults for Ni-TCNQ and Mn-TCNQ that explain the experimental observations
