Resumen:
We present a detailed topological analysis of active region (AR) 10978, based on a Potential Field Source Surface (PFSS) model. AR 10978 is a simple bipolar region which appears fully covered by the magnetic field lines of a coronal streamer. Despite this magnetic configuration, our analysis shows that it is possible for the AR plasma contained in the outflows observed at the AR borders, to be released into the solar wind via magnetic reconnection.
