Resumen:
Our interdisciplinary group studies habitability in planetary bodies, considering the UV radiation as a limiting/promoting factor for the development of life making use of haloarchaea, which are considered as model organisms in Astrobiology. Moreover, we proposed a new method that can be used for the detection of life in situ in other planetary bodies, based on a new application of microbial fuel cells. Here we present some of our more recent results.
