Resumen:
AbstractIn this work we present a theoretical approach to ionization of electrons, occupying image-potential states around a metallic nanotube, due to photon impact. In a way analogous to the one previously presented of ionization by electron impact [1], we obtain and analyze photoionization cross sections. We use the bound electron wave function as proposed by Granger et al [2], and approximate the final state for the ionized electron as an orthogonalized plane wave. We consider various situations, including different energies and polarization of the incident photon, emission direction of the ionized particle and angular momentum of the bound electron. Finally, we compare the results with th ones previously obtained of ionization by electron impact.References[1] G. A. Bocán, N. R. Arista, J. L. Gervasoni y S. Segui ,Phys. Rev.
