Resumen:
We present age and metallicity determinations for 49 star clusters in the SMC fromWashington CT1 photometry and integrated spectra. Two of the observed clusters resulted to be relatively old object (age ~ 6.5 Gyr). In addition, we confirm that the farther a cluster is from thecenter of  the galaxy, the older and more metal-poor it is, with some dispersion; although clusters associated with the Magellanic bridge clearly do not obey the general trend. The number of clusters within ~ 2° of the SMC center appears to haveincreased substantially after ~ 2.5 Gyr ago, hinting at a burst.
