Resumen:
Objectives: GHD diagnosis represents a challenge in neonates in whom provocative tests are difficult to implement. The accuracy of basal GH-IGFs biomarkers in the diagnostic workout of GHD in neonates is still controversial. To assess the diagnostic accuracy of basal GH/IGF-I/IGFBP3 concentrations for GHD diagnosis and to evaluate serum GH usefulness under hypoglycemia in neonates. Methods: Retrospective case-control study of 25 full-term neonates [median age (m): 25 days] with confirmed GHD based on growth retardation, stimulated GH
