Resumen:
Electronic excitations in the condensed phase play a central role in several fields of modern chemical research, ranging from light-harvesting chromophores in biochemical systems to ultrafast excitations in all facets of time-domain spectroscopy. In each of these areas, the chemical system exhibits a multitude of interactions (both classical and quantum) between different chemical interfaces that give rise to the experimentally-observed spectrum. These many-body interactions are particularly crucial in the liquid phase, as these effects are significantly more complex than in either gas-phase or solid-state systems.
