E-mail: leomena13@gmail.comPhthalocyanines (Pcs) are a group of macrocyclic compounds of great importance in bioorganic chemistry. Its structure includes a central atom, usually zinc, silicon or aluminum, to increase singlet oxygen production. These compounds have fluorescent capabilities and strong absorption bands in the range of 650- 700 nm (Q-band). This absorption in the red zone of the visible spectrum can penetrate biological tissue, such as the skin.
