Resumen:
The electrochemical behavior and amperometric-FIA quantification of minoxidil at a glassy carbon electrode is described. The procedure is based on the electrochemical oxidation at 0.800 V (vs Ag/AgCl/3 M NaCl) in phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7.0). Minoxidil is determined over the range 1 x 10-7-1 x 10-4 M. Other analytical parameters, such as electrode working potential, flow rate, and solution pH were optimized. The proposed method was applied to the determination of minoxidil in pharmaceutical preparations and was compared with the UV detection technique using statistical methods.
