Resumen:
Costa Rican specimens of Calostomataceae, Phallaceae and Protophallaceae (gasteroid basidiomycetes) kept at Herbarium F were examined and identified. Eleven species belonging to seven genera were recognized: Calostoma cinnabarinum, C. lutescens (Calostomataceae), Aseroë rubra, Clathrus columnatus, Laternea pusilla, L. triscapa, Ligiella rodrigueziana, Phallus indusiatus, P. duplicatus (Phallaceae), Protubera maracuja and P. jamaicensis (Protophallaceae). Calostoma lutescens is described with larger spores than those reported for the species, but molecular data confirmed the species identification. The occurrence of Protubera species in Costa Rica is reported for the first time. Key words: Boletales, Central America, fungal taxonomy, Neotropical mycota, Phallales.
