Resumen:
In our country, the quality of water for human consumption is regulated in chapter XII, article 982 of the Argentine Food Code, which sets the concentrations allowed for the different physical, chemical and microbiological parameters present in the intake water to be considered potable. The objective of our work was to evaluate the microbiological quality of the water of the distribution system by selecting five points in different areas of our city. Sampling was carried out between 2018 and 2019 corresponding to three seasons (spring, summer and winter), in five neighborhoods of our city. The following microbiological determinations were made: heterotrophic plate count, Most Probable Number of total coliforms, presence of Escherichia coli, presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and determination of residual free chlorine. The results obtained complied with current regulations from the microbiological point of view. The concentration of residual free chlorine was greater than 0.2 g / L in all samples, value required by legislation. Keywords: drinking water, microbiology, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
