Resumen:
The use of molecular techniques for identification from genetic markers is an important tool developed from human genome project and allow to establish parenthood with hight levels of probability. The main tools to do this analysis comes from math, through Bayesian laws of probability and from biology through Mendel inheritance laws. An important case among this studies is to establish fathership between two subjects. This case can be arise in two modes, having mother DNA or not having it. The study of duets often presents difficulties because it has less genetic information, paternity rates are lower and if mutations are detected, to incorporate the mother is required. In this work we propose an analysis of the cutoffs for paternity index that allows clearly discriminate between true and false relations, both duets and trios.
