Resumen:
The Huachichocana intrusion is an andesite porphyry located at the western portion of theCentral Cordillera of the Andean Central Volcanic Zone (CVZ) location, Jujuy, NorthwesternArgentina.This study presents new Ar-Ar and U-Pb geochronologic data for the Huachichocana subvolcanic rock. The data presented here together with previous data from the literature providenew insights into the tectonic significance of the intrusion and the Neogene geological history of the CVZ.
