Resumen:
The new technologies for passive and hybrid conditioning, integrated to buildings with an agro-industrial purpose, male it possible to improve light and thermal conditions, diminish the use of energy resources, the environmental impact and the reliance on artificial conditioning systems.  In the province of Catamarca, Argentina (28º40 South latitude and 65º45’ West longitude) these concepts are incorporated to a 114m2  agamic propagation building adapted for high quality plants multiplication, very important for the regional economic growth. The objective of this work is to know the building characteristics in order to adapt the with bioclimatic strategies. Internal and external temperature, light and humidity measurings were conducted in different parts of the building using automnatic data loggers during one year. Results of monitoring during the most critical summer and winter months are shown as well as the thermal simulation using the SIMEDIF for Windows software. The results of the observed and simulated periods have shown the dependence on the outside climatic variables and constructive aspects, which affect energy saving and environmental impact. Suggestions are described to adequate the buiding design to the plant requirements with a significant reduction in conventional energy consumption.
