Resumen:
Abstract: Globalization seems to have spread out at a world level a consumption of energy that sounds somehow irrational for us. Even though developed countries need more energy to maintain their lifestyle, it is possible to notice an over consumption of resources. To decrease this level of consumption, research should be carried out to determine the minimal energetic requirements to preserve their industries and comfort. On analyzing the world electricity consumption distribution, it seems to be very clear that this distribution is uneven comparing the northern and southern hemispheres. Without attempting to remove the resources that wealthy communities need to supply the necessities of the most unprivileged, this essay aims to outline educational conservationist criteria related to the human energetic needs to guarantee their welfare and happiness. Thus, it will go beyond the technical problem itself to deal with some psycho-sociological issues. This paper attempts to show how an educational policy on a rational and economical use of energy can be diffused worldwide.
