Resumen:
Lactobacillus rhamnosus CRL1505 (Lr05) and L. plantarum CRL1506 (Lr06) are immunobiotic strains with the capacity to modulate mucosal antiviral response, being Lr05 more effective than Lp06 to improve protection against viral infections. Previous studies in porcine intestinal epithelial (PIE) cells demonstrated the capacity of these lactobacilli to improve the production of IFN-β in response to TLR3 activation. In this work, we performed comparative transcriptomic studies in PIE cells to advance in the understanding the mechanisms involved in the antiviral activity of Lr05 and Lr06. PIE cells were stimulated with Lr05 or Lp06 (5 x 108 cells/ml) and then challenged with the TLR3 agonist poly(I:C). PIE cells with no lactobacilli treatment were used as controls. The transcriptomic response of PIE cells was evaluated 12 h after poly(I:C) challenge using the Porcine (V2) Gene Expression Microarray (Agilent). Data normalization and expression analysis were performed with GeneSpring software (13.1), and Limma package from BioConductor in R software (3.2.5). Variations in transcript abundance with a t-test P
