Resumen:
This work performed transcriptomic studies using a porcine intestinal epithelial (PIE) cells in order to advance in the understanding the mechanisms involved in the anti-inflammatory activity of the immunobiotic strain Lactobacillus jensenii TL2937 (Lj) in the porcine host. For this purpose, PIE cells were stimulated with Lj (5 x 107 cells/ml) and then challenged with heat-stable Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) (5 x 107 cells/ml). PIE cells with no lactobacilli treatment were used as controls. Twelve h after ETEC PAMPs challenge the transcriptomic response of PIE cells was evaluated using the Porcine (V2) Gene Expression Microarray. Data normalization and expression analysis were performed with GeneSpring software version 13.1, and Limma package from BioConductor in R software (version 3.2.5).
