Resumen:
This book is orientated to undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, academicians and scientists in the research area of environmental biotechnology and bioremediation. The increased awareness concerning to environmental protection have prompted the development of more ecofriendly technologies. This book provides useful information on technologies based upon the use of biological agents, including bacteria, yeast, fungi, algae, and plants for environmental clean-up. Some chapters refer to the direct application of products derived from plants and microorganisms for designing strategies of environmental remediation. The spectrum of strategies involved, and in large extend the successful combination of them, improves the removal of pollutants from diverse nature generated from anthropogenic activities with minimal environmental impact. This approach will be interesting for professionals involved with environmental technology and waste management.
