Resumen:
Mixed-valence iron based catalysts are promising catalysts to be applied in Fenton-type processes. In this contribution, Prussian Blue nanoparticles (PBNP) supported over -Al2O3 are prepared following two different procedures, (ex-situ B1 and impregnation B2) characterized and used in the peroxidation of Orange G at pH=3 and 343K.For both catalysts, complete discoloration and good TOC removal for 9-5h cycles is achieved. While initially TOC removal is higher for B2, long term results are better for B1. When PBNP are prepared ex-situ and then adsorbed onto the support (B1), the formation of ?insoluble? Prussian Blue is promoted, loose PBNP to the media is prevented and stability is enhanced.
