Resumen:
The aim of this review is to show the relationships between the structure, processingand properties of the composite material based on cellulose or lignocellulose fibres andstarch based matrix. Properties of blend based on starch with other biodegradablepolymer such as polyesters (polycaprolactone (PCL), polyhydroxyalcanoates (PHAs),polylactic acid (PLA), polyesteramide (PEA)) were discussed. In order to improve themechanical properties of the matrices, cellulose nanofibers and natural fibers such asflax, sisal and jute, was also utilized in the literature. The effect of processing conditionson the distribution of the filler and fibre dimension was analyzed. Aqueous and soilburialdegradation was reviewed.
