Resumen:
Radical anions derived from several 3,4-aryl-disubstituted derivatives of 1,2,5-thiadiazoles 1,1-dioxide, were accumulated through chemical reduction of the substrates in aprotic solvents. The radical anions were characterized by cyclic voltammetry and (yo no agregaría esto.  La CV no se usó para caracterizar los radicales, sino para medir su concentración, como se implica en el siguiente párrafo, cuando se dice “The course of the reductions was followed using cyclic voltammetry”) electron spin resonance. DFT and semiempirical theoretical calculations were also performed for some radicals of particular interest. The course of the reductions was followed using cyclic voltammetry. Uncommon reductants, such as amides, were found to be effective under certain conditions.
