Resumen:
Abstract:  In this paper, the effects of Pt, Pd and Ni powder addition into metal-hydride electrodes, on the activation process, rate capability and cycling stability were studied. The addition of metal powder improves the activation rate and diminishes the overpotentials for charge and discharge. The electrochemical behaviour of these electrodes was analysed in terms of  a simplified form of a previously developed model. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements allow the validation of the model and the identification of kinetic and physicochemical parameters.
