Resumen:
The knowledge of the tardigrade fauna of Argentina is restricted and extensive regions are maintained without analysis. No species has yet been recorded for Altoandean, Monte, Prepunean, and Punean biogeographic provinces. The researches, mainly taxonomic have been carried out in the last two decades. To date, 108 species belonging to 25 genera have been recorded. The Andinopatagonic region, with forests of Nothofagus (Fagaceae) has been the most studied and presents very interesting fauna.
