Resumen:
Ni catalysts supported on commercial Al2O3 modified by the addition of CeO2 and/or ZrO2 (1 and 5 % total oxides) were prepared in the present work. Reactions of methane reforming with water vapor, carbon dioxide, partial oxidation and mixed reforming were studied in order to evaluate the performance of Ni/CeO2/ZrO2/a-Al2O3 systems to determine the effect of the support modification. Results show that composites with CeO2 and ZrO2 improve the catalytic activity and more noticeably the stability of catalysts based on Ni, depending on the Ce:Zr ratio. Most stable catalysts and resistant to the deactivation by carbon are those ones with the Ce:Zr= 4:1 ratio.2O3 modified by the addition of CeO2 and/or ZrO2 (1 and 5 % total oxides) were prepared in the present work.
