Resumen:
Clays were modified chemically to obtain pillared, PILCs and porous heterostructured clays, PCHs. These species were functionalized with aminosiliceous agents in order to produce surfaces for the adsorption of polyoxomolybdates. Several catalysts were prepared by impregnation in equilibrium of modified clays with [Mo7O24]6- and [AlMo6O24H6]3- (12-13 mg Mo/ml). Functionalized and impregnated species present 13-14% of adsorbed Mo, while materials without treatment present only 1% of Moad. Materials were studied in a clean selective oxidation of diphenylsulfide to sulfone in batch. Mo-rich systems were the most active catalysts with conversions of 100% and sulfone selectivities higher than 90%.
