It is known that the process
of methane dry reforming result, give the stoichiometry of the reaction of
great interest to obtain products with high added value. The synthesis gas
produced provides a lower H2 / CO ratio, which is suitable for the
Fisher Tropsch synthesis [1-2]. Besides contribute to environmental protection
because they can transform two gases of high polluting in important industrial
products. Another advantage of this process is the possible location of plants
from synthesis gas in areas where there is no water with the quality and
quantities required for the steam reforming.
The
reaction is deactivated due to sulfur poisoning and carbon deposition under typical
industrial operating conditions.
The
objective of this work is to analyze the effect of the modification of a-Al2O3
support with Ce on the activity, stability, carbon deposition and sulfur poisoning of Rh /a-Al2O3,
with the aim to design a suitable catalyst for this process.
