Resumen:
The coupling of a UV-(A+B)-Vislamp (15W m-2) to the CPC reactor (upon solar irradiation) fortreatment of real groundwater was evaluated. The assays conditions were: iron naturally present, circumneutral pH, and the addition of 10 mg L-1 of H2O2. Thetreatment underwent a reduction of theviability of E. coli K12 and K.pneumoniae of 4.69 Logs and 2.18 Logs, respectively at 30 mint30W. Moreover, the 2,4-D degradation of 70 µg/L allowed to reached aconcentration below the detection limit at 5 min t30W. Regarding wildstrains, the E. coli and the K. pneumoniae were completelyinactivated. The 2,4-D abatement and microbial inactivationcould be due to the combined effects of photo-induced and/or dark processessuch as photo-Fenton and Fenton, photocatalysis (colloidal iron), UV-A+Birradiation and UV-B photolysis of H2O2.
