Resumen:
In this work the catalytic activity of Mn and Co oxides (pure and mixed) in removing VOCs was evaluated using test molecule as ethanol. The pure Co and Mn oxides Co3O4 and Mn2O3 phases (Bixbyite) were found, respectively. For solid CoMn 50:50, the Mn3O4 phase is detected; for CoMn 70:30 oxide, the formation CoMn2O4 (spinel) is observed, whereas in the COMn 30:70 oxide phases were Mn3O4 and Co3O4 found. Pure manganese oxide had a higher ethanol conversion pure cobalt oxide. Pure manganese oxide had a higher ethanol conversion pure cobalt oxide. The mixed oxides of cobalt and manganese which had a higher cobalt oxide conversion pure, but only the sample presented a common 50:50 than pure manganese oxide conversion.
