Resumen:
Every year the petrochemical industry generates over 300,000 tons ofspent FCC catalyst. Considering the aluminosiliceous nature of this type ofcatalyst, it is interesting to study the synthesis of zeolite directly on thecatalyst surface by using a part of the catalyst as raw material for zeolitesynthesis. This is called ?in situ? synthesis, because the catalyst is not onlyused as raw material but also acts as the support of zeolite. In this work, we study the influence of the starting mixture compositionon the conversion of exhausted FCC catalysts into ZSM-5 zeolite.
