Resumen:
ABSTRACT ? In this work, iron oxide based catalysts doped with Al and Mn in HTS reaction were investigated. The catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation from metals nitrate solutions, using ammonium hydroxide (25% w/v) as precipitant, in order to get solid with molar ratio Fe/Al = 10 and Fe/Mn = 10, 20, 30 and 40. Solids showed molar ratios close to nominal values. Hematite was observed in all cases. The simultaneous presence of aluminum and manganese led to hematite with larger specific surface areas and smaller size crystals. The whole aluminum was incorporated into the solid network. In the presence of aluminum, the highest substitution of manganese was observed in sample FeAlMn40. All catalysts were active for HTS reaction. At higher temperatures, the CO conversion is higher when FeAlMn10 and FeAlMn20 catalysts are used suggesting a greater resistance to deactivation by sintering of these systems.
