Resumen:
β-aminocrotonates are versatile intermediates for the synthesis of many heterocycles. Also, β-aminocrotonates have been previously evaluated as compounds with potent oral anticonvulsant activity at the voltage-dependent Sodium channel binding site in a manner similar to class 1 anticonvulsants Phenytoin, Carbamazepine, and Lamotrigine1. Continuing with our studies about Green Methodologies, we now present our findings about the catalytic preparation of crotonates using Wells-Dawson heteropolyacids under solvent-free conditions.
