Resumen:
This study focuses on additives or loads, chemically inert solid materials incorporated in the formulation of films, plastic and/or adhesives to modify their mechanical properties and reduce the cost of manufacturing. Essentially, this work purposes develop hybrid materials based on silica, with different surface properties modified by techniques like the modification, which used 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APS)and 1,1,1,3,3,3–hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS)  reagents with a view to their future employment as films by different fruits. The characterization techniques used were Ray X (DRX) diffraction, transmission electronic microscopy (TEM) and scanning (SEM), textural properties, surface and potentiometric titration with n-butylamine. Hydrophobic silicas were obtained in synthesis when added APS and HMDS as modifiers. The textural characteristics of the silicas showed marked effect by adding them. The titration of the modified silicas acidic sites showed abrupt decrease of acidity on silica unchanged. The TEM micrographic of synthesized samples showed that the increase of HMDS led to maintain the spherical shape of silica base, increasing the formation of agglomerations and the primary particle size.
