Resumen:
Co3O4 nanoparticles have been obtained by stoichiometric combustion synthesis in particular by a nitrates-aspartic route where different fuel ratio has been used: ranging between 0,8 and 4 times the stoichiometric ratio. It has been determined through XRD that the crystalline structure present in all obtained powders was the face-centered cubic corresponding to Co3O4 and it has been observed by TEM an average size particle between 20-100nm. As regards to the effect of fuel ratio on physical properties, a drop on the crystallite average size and an increase on the specific surface area with an increment of fuel to oxidizer ratio has been observed.
