Resumen:
Background. Diagnosis of endoparasites in children remains a challenge for the epidemiological study of these infections. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of two coproparasitological techniques (Ritchie and FLOTAC pellet) for the diagnosis of helminths in children of Clorinda (Formosa province, Argentina).Methods. A cross-sectional study was performed in 91 schoolchildren (54.4% males and 45.6% females) aged from 1 to 16 years. Serial stool samples preserved in 10% formalin were processed using Ritchie and FLOTAC pellet techniques. Also, serial anal swab samples were sedimented by centrifugation for the diagnosis of Enterobius vermicularis. A positive sample was defined if positive with any parasitological method; prevalence and sensitivity were calculated using contingency tables. Chi square test at a significance level of p
