Tuta absoluta: the last ten years of studies in Argentina

Resumen:
?InArgentina, Tuta.absolutaisa relative recently tomato pest. Since ´60,in Mendoza, from Chile. Life and population parameters (25±1 ºC,60±5% RH, 16 L:8 D) of T.absoluta and potential natural enemies for biological control are presented.Two mainnative larval parasitoids accomplishover50% of natural parasitism, coexistin thefieldand show ecologicalattributesforT. absoluta BCin Argentina:Dineulophus phtorimaeae (Hym., Eulophidae) andPseudapanteles dignus(Hym.; Braconidae).Biological andpopulation parameters of P.dignus and Dineulophus phtorimaeae on T. absoluta inthe lab (25ºC, 65% RH, 14 L:10 D h) areshown. Densities of P. dignus and T.absoluta larvaeand % of parasitism in a commercial organic tomato greenhouse in Buenos Airesprovince  arepresented.
