Resumen:
Androlaelaps abrothrix n. sp., a new laelapine mite (Acari: Parasitiformes: Laelapidae), is described from the pelage of the abrotrichine rodent, Abrothrix longipilis (Waterhouse) (Cricetidae, Sigmodontinae, Abrotrichini), collected from the Andean Patagonia region of Argentina.
