Resumen:
The present study is based on specific diversity of mermitids parasitoids of aquatic insects ofblackfly, midges and mosquitoes larvae, and their prevalence in different regions of our country. It provides a list of Nematoda belonging to the family Mermithidae parasitoid of several speciesof blackflies and midges (Diptera, Simuliidae and Chironimidae) in streams of clear water.Aquatic insect larvae had mermitids nematodes; 21 species corresponding to 8 genera of which 1(Ditremamermis Camino y Poinar, 1988) is typical of Argentina. This neotropical region is anarea with high species diversity of mermitids nematodes of blackflies, many of which could beconsidered biocontrol agents for this kind of pest, with bio-medical interest. Mermitids werepresent in the midges larvae (3 species), and in mosquitos with the species Strelkovimermisspiculatus and unidentify species from the genus Hydromermis Corti, 1902.
