Resumen:
Angiostrongylus morerai n. sp. (Nematoda: Angiostrongylidae) is described from the pulmonary arteries of Azara’s grass mouse, Akodon azarae hunteri (Rodentia: Cricetidae) in Argentina. It is distinguished from its congeners principally by the morphology of the dorsal ray, which is as long or longer than the externodorsals and has 2 long branches, and the length of the spicules (400 to 465 µ). This is the first record of a metastrongylid from sigmodontine rodents in Argentina.
