Resumen:
ABSTRACT: Four species of digeneans were recovered from1 specimen of Himantopus melanurus (Aves: Recurviros-tridae) from Bahı ´a Blanca estuary, Argentina. Digeneanswere assigned to Psilochasmus oxyurus (Psilostomidae),Pygidiopsis crassus (Heterophyidae), Ascocotyle (Ascoco-tyle) felippei (Heterophyidae), and Levinseniella cruzi(Microphallidae). Psilochasmus oxyurus and A.(A.) felippeihave been reported from other species of hosts, mostly fromSouth America, but this is the southernmost report for thesespecies. Levinseniella cruzi has been reported from H.melanurus from Mar Chiquita lagoon, to the north of Bahı ´aBlanca estuary. This is the first report of P. crassusparasitizing a natural host.
