The purpose of this note is to correct a nomenclatural problem associated with the names of two grasshopper species of the South American genus Dichromatos Cigliano, D. corupa and D. montanus. In order to validate the names, I hereby designate their type specimens, which are deposited to MNRJ. Dichromatos Cigliano, D. corupa and D. montanus.
