Resumen:
The photochemical behavior of MTG on sea-salt particles was investigated by acombination of analytical techniques including μ-Raman and μ-FT-IRspectroscopy, AFM and ToF-SIMS. Experiments shown original and non expectedresults with atmospheric interest, mainly the formation of S8 and Na2SO4 on theNaCl surface through the photodegradation of organosulfur compounds. The exposure of the surface to water accelerate the photooxidation to sulfate.60 minutes of irradiation in the presence of humidity were enough to oxidize allthe MTG to sulfate.Na2SO4 is only formed under irradiation in presence of O2 and/or H2O
