Resumen:
Heterocyclic thiosemicarbazones (H-TSCs) as well as their metal derivatives have shown tobe potent antineoplastic agents active against cisplatin-resistant human cancer cell lines. Itis probably due to their ability to affect various cellular processes essential to tumorigenesis, being the metalloprotein ribonucleotide reductase (RR) their main target. Here we present the first data regarding biological properties of two new palladium(II) andplatinum(II) complexes derived from the pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde(4-chlorophenylthiosemicarbazone) ligand.
